Positive Restlessness

“I cannot be still for long. There is a riot in me all the time. A ready, restless voice in my heart endlessly urging me onward. I ache for new experiences and my hunger for adventure is boundless. My entire life is a perpetual loop of longing for something else.”

 – Beau Taplin

It is good to be patient: it gives you time to grow and mature into all that God wants you to be. And you may have gotten restless to the point of being weary of being average because sometimes, you can’t pinpoint why you are even disturbed, but you do know that you want to CHANGE, or rather IMPROVE.

This is what I call ‘positive restlessness’. You need it too. Like I usually say, “if you are not tired of where you are, where you are is tired of you.”

Isaac gave Esau the code for his future, and Esau aspired towards that positive restlessness that broke the yoke of Jacob away from his neck. Esau didn’t have reasons to serve Jacob his brother, as their father had predicted. He didn’t wait for too long before he came up with that positive restlessness which gave him the needed energy to aspire to be something remarkable in life too.

“And it shall come to pass when you become restless, that you shall break his yoke from your neck.”

– Genesis 27:40b

You don’t have to wait for too long to get your positive restlessness on the move. You need it so you can walk away from backwardness, away from idleness, and away from weakness. Build yourself up to that point!
